We are sorry to hear your Coding Chameleon isn't working as expected. We recommend watching the videos below, or continue reading for all troubleshooting tips.
If you're having trouble with coding mode (purple), please be sure you're using a white paper base under the sensor, and slide the coding cards under the sensor itself (black tube), not under the white belly area of the robot.
To erase the previous coding program, scan the purple Erase card, holding it in place for a few seconds. Carl will flash purple twice, the belly will dim and turn white.
Tongue Function Misfiring
If the tongue is not functioning properly, we recommend checking the following:
-Green B5 gear is not damaged/defective
-White D3 sits completely within the orange P7. You should not see any white exposed.
-Check that the front gear box and blue tongue section are closed, with no gaps.
- Please note that the color sensor and the infrared sensor, may not work as expected in bright sunlight or under bright halogen lights. This will also impact your chameleon's tongue function.
If you are unable to fix the issue after performing the above troubleshooting, we are happy to provide further assistance. Please email support@thamesandkosmos.com and provide the following information:
