Thank you for choosing Thames & Kosmos and for your interest in our Robotics Workshop kit.
Removing the battery cover for the CB1 Core Controller is a two-step process, which I have detailed below:
First, make sure to remove the 2 screws shown in the picture below.
If you're having trouble removing the screws, place the CB1 Core Controller on a firm table. One person should hold the precision screwdriver firmly with both hands while the helper spins the CB1 Core Controller (because it is larger than the screwdriver, it will give you better leverage). For some visual help, please check out THIS VIDEO on YouTube.
Then, remove the battery cover by following the steps shown in THIS VIDEO (press down firmly on the latch until you feel and hear a click and then pull the battery cover towards yourself).
If you’re still having trouble, we kindly ask you to send an email to support@thamesandkosmos.com with the following information:
- Your mailing address and phone number
- Date of purchase (or when you received it as a gift) and the retailer it was purchased from
- The production code from your box (an alphanumeric code located in the white square with the UPC bar code)
- Some additional details on how your product is defective
If you have any additional questions about this or any of our other kits, please do not hesitate in including them in your email to us.
Thank you again for choosing Thames & Kosmos. We hope you and your family continue to enjoy our products for many years to come.
Kind regards,
The Thames & Kosmos Technical Support Team
